Washington, DC (June 11, 2013) – The Capitol Hill Hotel has partnered with the Capitol Hill Arts League (CHAL) to add some fantastic local art to their walls in their public spaces. On Thursday June 6, the hotel hosted a wine and cheese reception to showcase the art and celebrate their continued partnership in their newly renovated library.

The hotel took patrons, some of which were the artists, on guided tours to present them the newly installed art. Local artists like Aina Nergaard-Nammack, Joseph Springer, Holly Grieg, Rindy O’Brien, Kate McConnell, Michael Spears, Kay Fuller, and MM Pans were featured. Capitol Hill Hotel General Manager Donte Johnson was on hand to welcome guests, patrons and local friends of CHAL.
The CHAL provides artists with opportunities to meet each other, talk about art and learn in a friendly environment; gives artists opportunities to exhibit and sell their work in a gallery setting; and promotes the growth and appreciation of visual arts in the Capitol Hill community and beyond. Located in the Capitol Hill Arts Workshop (CHAW, 545 7th Street SE), they maintain a close programming relationship with CHAL.
Art on display is available for purchase, so stop on in the next time you are on the Hill. Capitol Hill Hotel is located at 200 C St SE Washington, DC 20003.
