FITDC invites you to their first-ever Juneteenth in District Health & Wellness Fair. This is your chance to celebrate the federal holiday with a day filled with free workouts, wellness activities, and a celebration of local Black-owned businesses.

Mark your calendars for Monday, June 19, from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. This event will be hosted at the newly renovated Franklin Park in the heart of downtown DC at 1332 I Street, NW.

What’s in Store for You?

An active morning is planned for you with locally renowned FITDC instructors leading yoga and cardio dance sessions. But that’s not all! You’ll also enjoy a health-conscious outdoor festival featuring a live DJ, food trucks, mini massages, group meditation sessions, astrology classes, nutrition sessions, aura photography, and various vendors representing Black-owned businesses.

Why Franklin Park?

Franklin Park was chosen for its historical significance. It was the site of the first formal celebration of DC’s Emancipation Day in 1862, linking our local tradition to the recently recognized federal holiday.
