Zurich, Switzerland (December 14, 2012) – The Baur Au Lac hotel, which dates back to 1844, recently completed an approximately $41 million renovation, revamping its Pavillon and Rive Gauche Terrasse restaurants as well as various rooms and suites. It is also home to Rive Gauche restaurant, a local hot spot. As an offering, the hotel is celebrating the holiday season with one of Switzerland’s traditional staples – Glühwein. In the spirit of giving, the hotel is sharing its secret holiday recipe:
Mix ingredients together in a large pot and stir over medium heat. Let the mixture simmer for about 20 minutes. Strain and serve in individual glasses, garnish with sliced orange peel or a cinnamon stick.
