Couples looking to celebrate in a casual environment will love the $50 three-course prix fixe menu in the Tavern of RARE Steakhouse.
To start, Executive Chef Marc Hennessy gives you the choice between Autumn Olive Farms Pork Country Pate with kumquat mostardo and brioche with spicy greens or a Chesapeake Greenhouse greens salad with fresh hearts of palm and Goot Essa Felsa Yehr cheese.
Main course options include a dry-aged bottleneck steak with bleu potato croquettes and Nameko mushroom ragout or a grilled black bass with black truffle risotto and Meyer lemon preserves.
Of course, Valentine’s Day wouldn’t be complete without something sweet. RARE Pastry Chef Jacqueline Suter’s walnut brownie with bourbon caramel and vanilla ice cream or her Almond “Joy” Sundae with Marcona almonds, coconut gelato, and chocolate fudge sauce round out the meal.
Guests can add on a rosé flight to pair with courses for $25.
