Subterranean Celebration Brings DJ Amen Ra Together with Renowned Local Artist Brian Dailey
Dupont Underground is partnering with neighboring Dupont Circle restaurant, Firefly, to host “The Underground After Hours” on Friday, December 15.
The arts and cultural organization that lies beneath Washington, DC will become a subterranean zone of music, illuminated art, and craft cocktails, welcoming Washingtonians to dance, relax, and let loose after a long work week.
Dailey, DJ & Drinks – From 7:00pm – 10:00pm, attendees have the opportunity to see Brian Dailey’s latest exhibition up close and personal while listening to DJ Amen Ra.
“An Odyssey: Brian Dailey Digital Work” brings together a cross-section of his recent work in digital media encapsulating the remarkable odyssey of the artist’s life and adventures he has explored. While the exhibit will be on display at Dupont Underground from December 1st – January 15th, Dailey will be making a rare special appearance at the “The Underground After Hours” to exclusively talk about his pieces with art enthusiasts!
Firefly’s Lead Bartender Brendan Ambrose will also be on site making one of his signature cocktails, the Red Devil. Inspired by the red devil cranberry sauce served at Brendan’s brother’s house for the holidays every year, the Red Devil is made with Espolon tequila, Cointreau, pressed cranberries, adobo sauce, habanero peppers, and blood orange.
What’s the Secret Password?
It’s not just the restored street-car space that will be underground for the night. You are invited to Firefly for a secret dinner special to fuel up prior to dancing.
For $35, diners will receive an appetizer, an entrée, and a glass of house wine. And, if you come into the restaurant on Friday, December 15th with the password “UNDERGROUND” may receive the dinner deal.
“Dupont Underground After Hours” is open to the public. Guests must be 21+ to attend. Tickets are $18 on Ticketfly, and $20 at the door.
