Washington, DC (September 17, 2014) – Sona Creamery, located in Eastern Market, is excited to welcome Scott Ryan as their new Executive Chef. Ryan will officially begin on October 7.
Ryan is an accomplished professional who is known most recently for running the kitchen for Mockingbird Hill, a 2014 nominee for Bon Appetit Magazine’s Best New Restaurants in America. Ryan is also known for work in Boston-area restaurants such as Sofra in Cambridge and No. 9 Park.
A Massachusetts native, he is passionate about sourcing food and supporting local purveyors who work hard to provide quality produce and artisanal products. His attention to detail and respect for nature lends his menus to a fresh and inventive style. Ryan has an A.S. in culinary arts and a B.A. in food service management from Johnson and Wales University.
