Sustainable furniture designers, Room & Board opened their doors to a few friends last Thursday, where good design was met with a good time. Changing hands from a former car dealership, this large, four story space will be the largest store on the growing “Design District” on 14th st.
The rooftop was the place to be. The sun set on a great day. Guests sat around handcrafted tables made from steel and ipe, a wood similar to teak, and bright red ottomans.
Small bites and wine were passed around to small groups of interior enthusiasts, whose eyes were fixed on so many great contemporary heirloom pieces. Fun and friendly staff, headed by the beautiful Lisa Scoggins, were scaling the stairs, introducing us to Room & Board’s new home.
The store officially opens on Monday, June 14th, so head over and check out American made quality for yourself. You wont be disappointed.
