Review: Fairfield Inn & Suites Key West

In the Keys, its always perfect weather to be poolside.

Key West, FL (March 16, 2015) – Do you love the 80s? Really love the 80s? If you do, you’ll feel right at home in Key West Florida where the average temperature right now is in the 80s.

Head down to The Keys sometime soon, roundtrip prices from Washington DC run about $366 using JetBlue on a Monday-Thursday trip schedule in April.

Located on the north loop is the Fairfield Inn and Suites by Marriott Key West, just a short bike ride (1.8 miles) away from Duval Street. Bikes for two people for 3 and half days came out to $81.60.

This location may seem away from the action, but it serves as perfect quarters between oceanside attractions like down to the beach, The Gardens Hotel or walkable nighttime snack shopping at the Key Plaza Shopping Center, not to mention quick road access to the airport or the Overseas Highway back to Miami.

Essentials like free Wi-Fi, free hot breakfast, a basic fitness center, large pool, microwave and mini-fridge, keep this 106-room Fairfield Inn & Suites Key West competitive with older nearby hotels. You can see and feel the comprehensive $5 million renovation made only back in November 2014.

In the center of the hotel is the Tiki Bar overlooking the pool. Grab some local recommendations from the bartender as well as a potent Dark and Stormy. These foodie recommendations included; Café Sole, Conch Republic Seafood, Fort Zachary Beach, Eaton Street Market, Cuban Coffee Queen, Bad Boy Burrito, and right next to the hotel is a place called Sisters Noodle House (good stuff!).

Rooms are comfortable, clean and contemporary. The sink has a bright LED backlight mirror above it. It shines through 3″ frosted edge of the glass to illuminate your room from all four sides. It’s a nice touch. (This could be yours here)

Overall, the Fairfield Inn and Suites by Marriott Key West is a clean, enjoyable and relaxing hotel that found a happy medium for everything you need to see and do while you are in The Keys.
