Renaissance Hotel Dupont Debuts Cherry Blossom Menu

Washington, DC (March 12, 2012) – As the 100th Anniversary of the Cherry Blossom Festival approaches, the Renaissance Hotel in Dupont Circle invite blossom lovers to taste their new Japanese-inspired menu, created by Executive Chef Devon Capili (in photo slide).

This will be available March 13th to April 27th, and boasts great flavors like the Ahi Tuni Sashimi, tender Kobe Beef Sliders (personal favorite) with fried onions, Roma tomatoes, pickled daikon, and Bibb lettuce on onion brioche, and a wonderful Morello Cherry Bread Pudding, made with croissants and served with dark chocolate cherry ice cream. These items and a few more not mentioned, will be available on the new menu.

To pair with the new menu, new cocktails will enhance your cherry blossom experience. Try the Harajukism, a martini full of fashionable flavors, or the Kabukimono, a orange and cherry flavored margarita.

Executive Chef Capili’s creativity and passion for food shine through in her new menu with a collection of fresh and simple favorites, prepared with a variety of locally sourced, indigenous flavors for an intriguing experience for bloom watchers to enjoy.
