RECAP: Sips and Suppers 2016 at the Newseum

Sips at the Newseum Central Kitchen Marthas Table Washington DC

Washington, DC – On Saturday, January 30th, the Newseum hosted hundreds of event-goers at the 8th annual Sips event in connection with Sips & Suppers 2016, raising funds and awareness for local non-profit organizations DC Central Kitchen and Martha’s Table.

Sips & Suppers is amazing! This event has quickly become one of DC’s premier charity events, hosting dozens of celebrated chefs, restaurants, cookbook authors, mixologists, wineries and more, while supporting two great causes.

VIP guests enjoyed sustainably grown estate wines of Gustafson Family Vineyards, and Lanson Champagne, as well as sweet and savory dishes from: Daikaya, Dolci Gelati, The Hamilton, Indique, and The Source.

Almost all the Newseum space was taken over by; Beefsteak, Boxwood Winery, Carlyle, Catoctin Creek, Gordon Biersch, Jack Rose, Jaleo, Rappahannock River Oysters, The Shaw Bijou, and Williamsburg Winery.

The elevators! There were three! Each glass-encased “Part-Vator” hosted amazing cocktails by mixologists Gina Chersevani, Trevor Frye, and Jeff Faile.
