Naval Hospital Hill Center on 9th and Pennsylvania Ave will be serving up Mead-Based cocktails at a Happy Hour price.
Washington, DC – Chef David Guas will be hosting a Mead & Greet Happy Hour on Friday, April 1, 2016, from 6:00pm-8:00pm, kicking off patio-season at Bayou Bakery, Coffee Bar & Eatery, on Capitol Hill next to the Hill Center.
In collaboration with Charm City Meadworks, chef David Guas will be serving mead-based cocktails at Happy Hour prices. To sweeten the night, complimentary snacks such as Grilled Sausage, Local Cheeses, Pork Rinds, and Grilled Veggie Toast will be handed out during the entire Mead & Greet from 6:00pm-8:00pm.
Charm City Meadworks‘ owner Andrew Geffken is reviving the ancient libation and will be on hand at the Mead & Greet. Guests may “Meet the Maker” as he provides samples of both his still and carbonated draft mead. Not as sweet as you might expect, the meads of Charm City Meadworks can be enjoyed by the glass-full, and are a natural for mixing in cocktails.
