Washington, DC (April 6, 2015) – Some hotel lobbies get an interior design lift, and some get out the old and bring in the new. I found three new hotel lobbies in the area that are well-worth checking out.

KIMPTON’S HOTEL MONACO ALEXANDRIA
480 King St, Alexandria, VA
Kimpton’s Hotel Monaco Alexandria just completed a multimillion-dollar renovation to all guestrooms, suites, hallways and the living room, including the addition of a ridiculously awesome bridal suite named the Eleanor Suite, after Martha Washington’s granddaughter Eleanor Custis – one of Virginia’s most well-known brides and socialites. Great colors, patriotic-glam if that is possible. Grab a bite from Chef Brian McPherson’s southern-inspired menu.

AC HOTEL AT NATIONAL HARBOR
156 Waterfront St, National Harbor, MD
Experience this next-generation design-led hotel that effortlessly blends contemporary style with cosmopolitan sophistication. High-top tables and seating to encourage interaction, this lobby is a welcomed refresher from the Marriott company.
EMBASSY ROW HOTEL
2015 Massachusetts Ave NW, Washington, DC
This young and sexy new Dupont Circle hotel has a passion for the community and as a result, has forged meaningful partnerships you can experience firsthand. The Embassy Row Hotel stands ready to curate an authentic experience. And the lobby gives a nod to So Cal beach front properties with corals, turquoise and weathered metallics.
