Washington, DC – This Sunday, Foggy Bottom’s newest modern Italian restaurant, Aperto will Debut Brunch Service complete with a Live Jazz.
Chef Luigi Diotaiuti’s contemporary Italian brunch features a unique cured meats and cheeses course with specialties including house-made duck and lamb prosciutto, chicken liver mousse and Shenandoah Peaks Cheddar. The shareable course is $15 for three items or $25 for five items.
Aperto’s a la carte entrees include brunch classics and distinctive hearty and traditional Italian dishes, such as an open-faced egg frittata with seasonal vegetables and Tuscan-inspired steak and eggs with arugula and roasted potatoes, in addition to linguine carbonara with house-cured pancetta and house-made ravioli with burrata cheese and thyme.
DC brunch purists and adventurous eaters alike will be pleased with Aperto’s cocktail menu, too, choosing from brunch classics like bellinis, mimosas and Bloody Mary’s and several of the restaurant’s refreshing new cocktails, including “Ride The Vespa,” a mix of Earl Grey-infused vodka and ginger and the “Basil-icata” — a play on Diotaiuti’s home region in Italy — made with gin, black pepper-infused vermouth, lemon and basil.
