On Sunday, March 10, 2019, Lupo Verde Osteria, the rustic Italian concept located in the residential Palisades area of Washington, D.C. will host an Italian language class in collaboration with the Casa Italiana Language School.
Two language classes will be available, one for adults and another for children six to 10. Classes are 90-minutes in length and will be broken up into two 45-minute sessions.
The first session will begin at 4 p.m. followed by a 30-minute intervallo where guests will be escorted to the first floor Alimentari, or Italian boutique market, to enjoy complimentary salami, bread, and Italian flag biscuits, served buffet style.
Guests will also receive a 10% discount off the purchase of any house-made items and fine imported Italian products purchased on this date.
Another 45-minute class will take place from 5:15 to 6 p.m. followed by a seated prix fixe, three-course dinner prepared by Culinary Director Orlando Amaro.
The menu begins with a choice of Carciofi alla Giudia, fried artichokes with bagna cauda sauce or Buffalo Mozzarella with prosciutto di parma, olive oil, and grilled bread, followed by choice of Amatriciana Pasta or Grilled Branzino Filet with sautéed spinach.
To complete the meal on a sweet note, the table of guests will enjoy a Mango Panna Cotta prepared by Corporate Pastry Chef Dayron Santamaria.
The children’s menu begins with a choice of Pasta al Pomodoro; Chicken with potatoes and mixed salad or Cheese Pasta followed by the Mango Panna Cotta.
The Casa Italiana Language School menu is priced at $55 per person for adults or $25 for children six through 10 years of age (tax and gratuity not included). The adult menu includes a choice of Impero Collection Cabernet Sauvignon, Anthelia Donna Fugata or Birra Moretti.
