Washington, DC (November 8th, 2013) – Hosted at the National Museum of Women of the Arts, Lolly’s Locks Evening of Food, Fashion and Inspiration was an event to remember. Chaired this year by Michelle Gloden Schoenfeld, she shared a very personal story about how she is now forever connected to this cause.
The event was emceed by NBC Washington’s Doreen Gentzler, and sponsored by companies like Anybill and Rand Construction Corporation. As a part of the fashion portion of the night was hosted by Celebrity Stylist James Cornwell, who created looks from Bloomingdale’s. Great bites and cocktails were offered by Michael Friedman of The Red Hen DC, Haidar Karoum of Doi Moi, Estadio, and Proof, John Manolatos of Cashion’s Eat Place, Victor Albisu of Del Campo and Taco Bamba, Scott Drewno of The Source, Adam Bernbach of 2 Birds 1 Stone.
Lolly’s Locks connects high-quality wigs with cancer patients who are suffering hair loss as an effect of chemotherapy, and who are unable to afford them. Lolly’s Locks is a way to honor the memory of wife and mother, Lolly Toll, who lost her 15-month battle of cancer in March, 2012.
