New Joie de Vivre hotel celebrated its grand opening with a ribbon cutting ceremony attended by Baltimore Mayor Catherine E. Pugh on Thursday May 3, 2018.
Developed by Denver-based real estate company NuovoRE and managed by Two Roads Hospitality, the new 107-room, 14-story boutique hotel embodies its name by contributing to the renewal of the neighborhood through a vibrant guest experience infused with thoughtful design, new restaurants and signature bars.
“We are thrilled to officially open the doors of Hotel Revival, bringing renewed energy into our Mount Vernon neighborhood and contributing to its ongoing revitalization,” said Beth Brainard, General Manager of Hotel Revival. “Hotel Revival’s guest experience was developed through unique collaborations with local partners and we can’t wait for visitors and Baltimore-area residents to discover our distinct offerings around dining, drinking, and, even, song.”
Hotel Revival’s design is led by Baltimore-based Schamu Machowski + Patterson Architects and Philadelphia-based SLDesign, and its visual identity by Baltimore-based Younts Design Inc. In a nod Baltimore rich art history, more than 30 different artists are represented within the hotel through a variety of mediums.
“We’re so proud to open Joie de Vivre’s first property in Baltimore, Hotel Revival, which is a vibrant and storied addition to our growing collection of boutique hotels across the country,” said Jamie Sabatier, CEO of Two Roads Hospitality. “By celebrating its surrounding neighborhood with an impressive array of local partners, businesses and artisans, Revival truly brings to life the spirit of the Joie de Vivre brand.”
Hotel Revival has opened two new unique dining concepts, each led by Executive Chef Wilbur Cox, a Baltimore native with more than 20 years’ experience. Square Meal, the hotel’s signature farm-inspired restaurant and market, and Topside, a year-round rooftop restaurant and garden bar, welcome area residents and guests with local and seasonal ingredients sourced through a network of regional partners, farmers and purveyors.
Hidden in plain sight, the hotel’s B-Side Karaoke Rooms invite you to step inside one of three themed spaces and sing for an epic night out or a playful, yet private occasion.
Hotel Revival’s guest experience celebrates the best of Baltimore with a line-up of beloved local small businesses, vendors and individuals. Among the many are: B. Willow, a local botanical shop, which curated the floral designs in Topside’s Garden Room; Christopher Schafer, a local clothier who outfitted the hotel’s bellmen, valet, and doormen with bow ties; Old Line Spirits, which created a custom Hotel Revival whiskey; and Peabody Heights Brewery, which developed an exclusive Revival Brew, to name a few.
Hotel Revival is celebrating its grand opening with a special offer available now through May 15, 2018 for future stays. Guests who book using the promo code, HELLOBMORE, can enjoy: 30% off the best available room rate; $30 food and drink credit to spend in Square Meal or Topside; and a complimentary 30-minute session in one of the hotel’s B-Side Karaoke Rooms.
