Washington, DC (January 31, 2014) – Pizza Paradiso invites you to celebrate the release of Chef Ruth Gresser’s cookbook with a party at the Brewmaster’s Castle. Considered the matriarch of pizza in Washington, D.C., Chef Gresser opened Pizzeria Paradiso to critical acclaim in 1991. Gresser sits on the board of directors of Women Chefs and Restaurateur and is a member of Les Dames d’Escoffier. The event will feature an antipasto table, pizza from Pizzeria Paradiso paired with beers and cider from DC Brau, Oxbow, Millstone & Stillwater, pizza making demonstrations with chef Ruth, & book signings.
– Atomica: tomato, kalamata olives, salami, hot pepper flakes – DC Brau Public
– Salsa Verde Pizza: green sauce, artichoke, radicchio, red onion, sausage, pecorino – Oxbow Farmhouse Pale Ale
– Orchard Pizza: apples, brussel sprouts, portabella mushrooms, red onion, thyme, cheddar – Millstone Farmgate Cider
– Roots & Greens: beets, turnips, leeks, kale, swiss chard, gruyere – Stillwater Debutante
All the beer will be poured by the respective brewery’s brewmaster.
Ticket price includes a copy of the book, all you can eat and drink antipasto, pizza, beer and cider, and a ticket to a pizza demonstration class. Plus! Half the proceeds of the ticket will be donated to the Heurich House Museum.
