Estadio is celebrating Spain’s favorite cocktail with the inaugural “Juniotónico: a Gintonic Festival.” For the month of June, Estadio will showcase creative Gintonics from bar director Adam Bernbach, plus weekly educational talks, tonic-making demos, the debut of its new rare Spanish gin program, and even a late-night gin-fueled kickoff party on June 3, 2018.
Typically served in wine glasses or goblets packed with ice, Spanish gintonics combine the two base ingredients – gin and tonic – with elaborate garnishes of seasonal fruits, veggies and herbs and spices to amplify the spirit’s botanicals. Every Monday at 5:00pm, Bernbach will host an educational conversation.
For Juniotónico, Bernbach will feature five classic Estadio Gintonics ($12-$16) with such flavors of melon, strawberry, coconut, rhubarb, elderflower and other unique herbs and spices. 1-2 of these special Gintonics will be offered at $10 each week.
Estadio will kick off the festival on Sunday June 3, 2018 at 9:00pm with an open-to-the-public celebration featuring specially-priced Gintonics, late-night snacks, rare Spanish gin tastings, special bottled tonics, porrons, and more. No RSVP required or fee to attend, all guests are welcome.
As part of Juniotónico, Estadio will be launching a permanent Rare and Spanish Gin Program, expanding Estadio’s gin stash by more than 20 hard-to-find bottles.
World Gin Day falls on Saturday June 9, 2018 – a day devoted to the botanical, juniper-laced spirit. Estadio will celebrate this global occasion with a day of festivities, such as a tonic-making demo at 4:00pm hosted by Bernbach, and a Gintonic Saturday Happy Hour from 5:00pm – 7:00pm featuring discounts on all five Juniotónico Gintonics.
