Washington, DC (June 27, 2012) – Last night more than 50 of the area’s leading chefs shared their signature tastings at the Washington Hilton to raise money for Food & Friends.
Food & Friends is a DC-based organization that provides home-delivered, specialized meals and nutrition counseling to people living with HIV/AIDS, cancer and other life-challenging illnesses.
This year, Food & Friends celebrated their 22nd Annual Chef’s Best Dinner and Auction presented by the NACDS Foundation. There was a VIP reception, silent auction and live auction during the event. This year, supporters will help provide more than 1.2 million meals to nearly 2,900 individuals in Washington, D.C., Virginia and Maryland.
John Critchley of Urbana Restaurant and Wine Bar, Anthony Lombardo of 1789 Restaurant, Jeff Tunks of District Commons and many others from the DC dining scene served delicious small plates to a packed crowd.
