Chef Franck Loquet Offers Mother’s Day Best

Washington, DC (May 1, 2012) – Just a block away from the White House’s Layfayette Park is iCi Urban Bistro, located in the trendy and chic Sofitel Washington D.C. This wonderful boutique restaurant is offering a special menu in celebration of Mother’s Day, Sunday May 13th.

Executive Chef Franck Loquet and his culinary team have created a traditional French inspired brunch menu.

On the menu; Provencal poached eggs with goat cheese wrapped in prosciutto and tomato sauce, chilled mint and pea soup with ricotta, avocado citrus and crab salad, veal and prosciutto saltimbocca mushroom and Parmesan sage cream, roasted halibut with lemon almond butter crust served with roasted asparagus.

On the sweet side of things, Pastry Chef Vincent Bitauld is offering a tantalizing, decadent yet delicately delicious sweets such as lychee mousse cake with a rose crumble and berry sabayon, bitter-sweet crème brulee au chocolate, fresh strawberry tart with fromage blanc and citrus sorbets.

What will make this irresistible is a live jazz trio that will be playing during the brunch service from 11:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. After brunch, you can enjoy a leisurely stroll through Lafayette Park.
