Washington, DC (November 12, 2013) – On November 11th, 2013, Celebrity chef José Andrés and Carla Hall hosted the 10th Anniversary of DC Central Kitchen’s premier fundraising event, the Capital Food Fight.
In celebration of the event’s 10th anniversary, Duff Goldman of Ace of Cakes, Emceed the event’s first-ever High Stakes Cakes Competition, organized by the Les Dames d’Escoffier, featuring four top local cake decorators.
The event’s live on-stage battle was judged by a panel of culinary celebrities, including Tom Colicchio, Rick Bayless, Todd English, and Art Smith. This year competitor’s were Erik Bruner-Yang (Toki Underground/Maketto), Bertrand Chemel (2941 Restaurant), Spike Gjerde (Woodberry Kitchen/Artifact Coffee), and Anthony Lombardo (1789 Restaurant).

– 1,500 attendees and 75 restaurants packed the Ronald Reagan Building
