Washington, DC (April 14, 2014) – Saturday, April 12th was The Backpack Bash hosted at the Wonder Bread Factory in the Shaw Neighborhood. Volunteers and attendees with big hearts attended one of DC’s most enjoyable events.

This was truly a unique and colorful gala, benefiting the Backpack Project, a group to help provide new backpacks, school supplies, school uniforms, mentoring programs, and journaling workshops to children in under-resourced communities of Washington, DC.

SEUSS-TASTIC. Event goers and supporters enjoyed a sit-down dinner, dancing, cocktails, along with a silent auction. (Jason Hornick Photography)

Their theme this year was based on Dr. Seuss‘ books and illustrations. Attendees enjoyed a great dinner, cocktails, and dancing thanks to the beats by DJ Chord. Most found their inner child on the dance floor.
