Tysons Corner, VA (June 17, 2014) – Helmed by Spanish-born, James Beard Award winning chef José Andrés and business partner Rob Wilder, America Eats Tavern is now open at The Ritz-Carlton, Tysons Corner.
Think Johnnycakes and house-made Doughnuts. In honor of the Joy of Cooking,- Cobb Salad Fried Chicken with “Cold Slaw,” and Cedar-Wrapped Wild Salmon. The restaurant features an All-American wine list, craft beers and seasonally inspired cocktails and prepared sweets such as Martha Washington’s Chocolate Cake, and modern takes on Lemon Meringue Pie and Apple Crumble.
Joining forces with José Andrés and the ThinkFoodGroup team is New York-based design firm, Celano Design, which was selected to craft an attractive and engaging space reflective of José’s playful and edgy approach to cuisine. José reimagines American fine dining creating a comfortable and engaging atmosphere with a design motif that evokes rustic sophistication contrasted with modern accents.
The airy interior of the 138-seat restaurant features brick and reclaimed wood as well as spirited elements reminiscent of colonial times. A vibrant bar, seating 55 guests, is the perfect place for a relaxed lunch on a day of shopping or a quick weekday bite with colleagues. For intimate gathering or business meetings, America Eats Tavern offers a private dining room with capacity for 18 guests.
