Washington, DC – Attendees celebrated the blossoms in style at the National Cherry Blossom Festival’s signature Pink Tie Party fundraiser presented by ANA on Friday, March 18th hosted by Trade Center Management Associates at the Ronald Reagan Building and International Trade Center. The event helped kick off springtime and the 2016 season of the blossoms.
Attendees in their finest “Pink Tie” cocktail attire enjoyed an evening filled with music, dancing, cocktails and delicious fare from the Reagan Building’s Executive Chef Xavier Deshayes and some of DC’s hottest restaurants, including: Agora Restaurant, Asia Nine, Carmine‘s, Claudia’s Steakhouse, FIG & OLIVE DC, iCi Urban Bistro, Pinstripes, Praline Bakery & Bistro, STK Washington DC, and many more. Guests also had the opportunity to imbibe specialty beverages including Mizu shochu and choice labels from MJS Sake Selections in a modern interpretation of a hanami (cherry blossom viewing) presented by LandDesign.
A spectacular silent auction contributes to fundraising efforts, including airfare on All Nippon Airways, as well as unique dining, concert, sporting, and theater experiences. Proceeds benefit the National Cherry Blossom Festival, Inc., a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit organization, and help keep programming primarily free and open to the public.
