Washington, DC (July 13, 2012) – This year, Washingtonian Magazine invited readers to vote for the best of what makes Washington special. Readers get the great pleasure in choosing their annual favorites from cocktails to restaurants and even local personalities.
This year the Best of Washington partnered with AT&T and invited winners to share their great dishes, drinks and services. This year, more than 1,300 guests, restauranteurs, and Leukemia & Lymphoma Society supporters filled the National Building Museum to sample, sip, and socialize. Attendees played on BMW sponsored putting greens, rolled out corn hole and played MiniGolf. All of this was spread out over the floor with BMW convertibles on display.
The sold-out event featured more than 60 of The Washingtonian’s 100 Very Best Restaurants and celebrated chefs. Adour, BRABO, Blue Duck Tavern, Bourbon Steak, Café du Parc, CityZen, J&G Steakhouse, Plume at the Jefferson, Poste and Zentan were a few notable hotel restaurants that helped filled the room. In the center of it all, a pop-up candy store gave guests nostalgic candies like licorice ropes and crystal candy. The AT&T Best of Washington party is always the highlight of the summer season. This year all funds from the silent auction and a portion of ticket proceeds will once again go to the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society.
