15th Annual Washington DC Travel & Adventure Show set for March 16-17, 2019

Anyone looking to find, plan and book their next vacation will discover thousands of travel options to explore, local destination experts to help them get there and tens of thousands of dollars in savings at the 15th Annual Washington DC Travel & Adventure Show set for March 16-17, 2019 at the Walter E. Washington Convention Center.

Travel enthusiasts will have the opportunity to meet face-to-face with travel professionals from around the world. These experts will be on hand to help attendees personalize and book their next trip.

From Alaska to Florida, Mexico to Switzerland attendees will find innumerable travel options at the Travel & Adventure Show. The price of admission includes access to dozens of inspirational, educational and culturally focused sessions on four stages located on the show floor, along with hands-on activities for the whole family.  Plus, representatives from travel destinations will be on hand to help plan vacations, destination weddings, and special trips.

Attendees will also be able to meet in person and to learn travel ideas from leading authorities and celebrities as they present seminars and answer questions over the two-day event. Appearing at the 900 seat Travel Theater will be:

  • Samantha Brown, Host, Samantha Brown’s Places to Love on PBS
  • Peter Greenberg, Emmy-Award winning investigative reporter and CBS News travel editor
  • Andrew McCarthy, Award-winning travel writer, actor and director
  • Patricia Schultz, Author of the New York Times Bestseller “1,000 Places to See Before You Die”

On the Savvy Traveler Theater stage, visitors will interact with experts on subjects ranging from packing and travel technology to maximizing credit card reward points and what to do if disaster strikes while traveling.

At the Destination Theater, potential travelers hear about destination-specific tips and information on when to go, how to get there, what to see plus local, off the beaten path attractions from destinations and suppliers such as MSC Cruises, Visit Anchorage, Italy and Mt. Washington Cog Railway.

At the Global Beats Stage, attendees will experience the rhythm of cultural dances and performances during more than 20 presentations throughout the weekend.

Included in the price of admission is Federal Row, where the US Department of State Passport Agency will be accepting new passport applications, renewing passports and taking passport photos on site. In addition, Customs and Border Protection will be providing Global Entry interviews and applications at the show.
